Spooky stream setup
Streamlabs Desktop · every scene ready made · run from HQ > Stream1. Canvas size
Streamlabs → Settings → Video: Base (Canvas) Resolution 1920x1080, Output 1920x1080 (or 1280x720 on a slow connection). Done.
2. Import the scenes
Settings → Scene Collections → Import Overlay File, choose Spooky-Stream.overlay. You get a scene collection with:
| Scene | What it is for |
|---|---|
| 1 Starting Soon | The ghost chatting to viewers, the countdown, tonight’s show, the live competitions turning over, the chat. |
| 2 Live Draws | The draw big, the camera, the chat, and a box saying which competition is being drawn, then who won. |
| 3 Host Games | Spooky Bingo, Reaper’s Deal and the rest, big. |
| 4 Quiz Night | The JoltQuiz big screen, with the room code (and QR) read from HQ > Quiz nights. |
| 5 Player Pot Draw | The pot draw wheel, with the pot and the number of players read live. |
| 6 Host Cam | Talking to camera: big camera, the chat, the live competitions underneath. |
| 7 Be Right Back | The ghost with a “Back soon!” sign, optional countdown and “coming up”. |
| 8 Technical Difficulties | The ghost tangled in the cables. |
| 9 Thanks for Watching | The last scene, with what has been paid out. |
| Pop-ups (do not delete) | Shown inside scenes 2–6 so only one copy runs. Never switch to it. |
The camera, the Chat Box, the pop-up sounds and every position are already set.
3. Facebook chat
Make sure Spooky Competitions’ Facebook page is connected (Settings → Stream, or log in with Facebook). The Chat Box in every scene then shows the live comments, already styled.
4. The game window (once)
The game, the draw page, the JoltQuiz big screen and the pot wheel all go through ONE capture, in the scene Game window (do not delete) — it is already placed in the big frame of all four show scenes. Streamlabs cannot import a window capture, so the first time: open that scene, double-click Game window capture, pick the window (capture method Windows 10 (1903 and up)), then right-click it → Transform → Fit to Screen. After that, just switch which window it captures, or keep one Chrome window and load whatever is next in it.
5. Camera and microphone
Two cameras, one each, each in its own scene: Camera - George (do not delete) and Camera - Sunny (do not delete) — every other scene shows those scenes, so a webcam is only ever opened once (the names on screen are set in HQ > Stream). Pick each webcam inside its own camera scene (1280x720), then right-click → Transform → Stretch to Screen. ⚠ The import gives both camera scenes the SAME webcam: in Sunny's scene, remove it and add a new Video Capture Device for her camera. Set the mic in Settings → Audio.
6. HQ > Stream
Open HQ → Stream on your phone (the HQ app). The top says how many scenes are listening — with Streamlabs open it should be about 10. From there:
- Fire it now: lightning, ghost swoop, confetti, drum roll, scream, boo — each with its sound.
- A winner: Big win! fills the screen and stays on the draw and pot scenes; Instant win is a corner card; Ticker only quietly adds it to the ticker.
- Tonight’s show: the show, the name on the camera, the host game, and Now drawing (pick the competition).
- Name strap and the ghost says a line.
- Messages now or on a timer; Schedule anything to go at a time or on repeat (it runs on the server, so the phone can be locked).
- Automatic: real instant wins pop up and run on the ticker (first name and initial only; staff tests never show), new boosts and Free Ghost Tickets are announced, and a live competition card comes up every few minutes.
- Words on screen, the countdown, sounds, and Reload every scene (after an update — nobody has to touch Streamlabs).
Without the file
Every scene is also a plain browser source (width 1920, height 1080, FPS 30, “Shutdown source when not visible” OFF; “Control audio via Streamlabs” ON for Pop-ups only):
| Scene | Address |
|---|
Address extras: ?mins=10 or ?to=20:00 (a countdown), ?up=Spooky+Bingo|Live+draws (coming up), ?game=Spooky+Bingo, ?cam=George+%26+Sunny, ?bg=hall|graveyard|studio, ?demo=1 (made-up figures, to look at a scene). HQ’s settings win over the address.
